Car Overview
Cadillac XTS
Historically synonymous with large, soft, luxurious cars, Cadillac used the XTS model to transition from its past to its future. The XTS went on sale for the 2013 model year, sharing a platform and architecture with the second-generation Buick LaCrosse. The plan was to use the XTS to bridge the gap between the old DTS and the upcoming 2016 CT6 luxury sedan. However, demand for the Cadillac XTS exceeded expectations, leading the automaker to produce it for longer than intended. Available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the XTS had a roomy interior and a large trunk with 18 cubic feet of space. Cadillac even offered a twin-turbocharged V6 in the V-Sport models, which supplied more athletic performance than the standard V6. Ultimately, Cadillac discontinued the XTS after the 2019 model year.
